My coton is 9 years old and has been having problems with abscess for the last 3 months.

It's costing me a small fortune at the vet's and they have put in 2 drains (not at the same time) and given him several antibiotics. It's been difficult keeping him from licking the wound but I finally got him a sweater that has straps that include his back legs. He's now on Prednisone and Baytril. Has anyone else had these problems? He's also on a small dose of pepcid to help with stomach pain.
