Jean-Paul, His First Day.

by Papa Jean
(Virginia Beach)

Jean-Paul loved all three of us from the very first minute he arrived in our home. He followed each of us around, in our turn, all day long until dark. Then he sat down beside me, at my feet, or in his nearby doggie bed. We all loved spending the evening together. Now comes the more difficult part – we put him to bed in his cage. He didn’t seem to like it at first, but I gave him his own pet and listened to him whimper for about twelve minutes. But, now he is quiet. Wish us all well.

3rd Pres Debate
by: Vicky & Jonah (Az)

Jonah laid beside me in the bedroom Mon night as I watched the debate on the flat screen w/a glass of wine. Thinking Oh My I wonder if it was to loud I glanced over & there he was in his favorite position laying on his back with feet up in the air sleeping. I guess foreign affairs really isn't his thing after all he only 4.5 to young to enlist.

Jonah is pictured here standing up on the right hand side with the light green background around him. We were at the dog park that day.

Smart, sneaky, and sleepy
by: Gale

Tell Jean-Paul that politics puts me to sleep also. I've mentioned before that my dog Luc always slipped out of our baby gates, but we never saw him do it so we don't know if he jumped over it, crawled under it, or had the cat move it for him and then put it back the way it was. These Cotons are very sneaky :)

The Debate and the Gate
by: Papa Jean

Jean-Paul, and the rest of us, made it through four nights. (By the way, he sleeps through the night, once he falls asleep.) Sunday was a bit rough; it took him about one hour. But, since then each “fall-asleep time” (F-A-T) has gotten much shorter, about ten to fifteen minutes.

Monday night was no problem. He watched the debate. I thought he fell asleep watching, but no he gave the impression he was very interested and then went to sleep without a problem afterward. What does that mean regarding the contestants? I asked him who he favored. He seemed to favor Bob Schieffer???

On another matter, we got a Pet Gate. It is 18 inches high, but he can jump right over it. How high can a Coton jump? Anyone know? A good guess will help.

We love Jean-Paul more every day. Just got a new camera; soon as I learn how to operate it, will post some pictures.

Warm puppy regards,

Papa Jean

So how are things going. How was his 1st night. I always luv to hear the good, bad & funny stories of puppies since it brings back such wonderful memories when Jonah lightened my house.

Don't get me wrong he still lightens my house starting with a good morning every day, our walks, trips to the dog park etc. He also just got a bath Mon. & Tues. I took the shears to him & just smooth out the coat a little, I did trim his feet more since this time of yr. he starts picking up all the dried grass, cut his bangs, always always brush his teeth daily.

He has been full of piss & vinegar this morn since our weather has thankfully dropped to 80 in the morn. Enjoy ur puppy.

First day
by: Betty

Just be patient! They are the most "worth it" dogs, ever. Cannot imagine my life without mine. Again, patience and, yes, it is like having a new baby.

if he is a young puppy, just wishing you lots of patience, they are like human babies, go pee a lot and needs lots of love and attention to feel secure. looking forward to seeing pictures!

Congrats on ur new puppy. Wow a writer u r while reading toward the end I almost thought something wrong had happened. May ur night be peaceful yet they do have a tendency to wake up every 4 hrs & need to go out then play then back to bed.
