My Cotton is turning out to be aggressive. Someone else previously in a post said their Cotton was not true to online breed described mine is not what is described either. If I don't let her do what she wants on walks she will turn around instantly and bite down on my leg. If she picks up something outside she shouldn't and I try to get it out of her mouth she will turn around and bite me. If I try to groom her and she doesn't want to be groomed she will bite. She is not a submissive dog in any way. She has never ever been abused or hit but her personality is extremely head strong. I cannot rehome her due to aggression. I was under the impression these were sweet little funny dogs. I am learning some are not like mine. I don't think I will ever get another one after my experience and reading about others having similar experiences.

How to stop dog aggression by: Gale
Shirley, I can certainly understand your concern. Nothing is more important than the safety of your great granddaughter (or anyone else for that matter).
Both Jack Russells and Chihuahuas are often known for aggressive behavior so it can be a bit of a challenge to change this, but it can be done.
Dogs like the Jack Russell need a great deal of exercise an they need to know that you are the Alpha leader at all times. Once a dog has already exhibited aggressive behavior it's recommended to seek out professional advice from a dog trainer who is familiar with these breeds and this kind of behavior.
Check with your Vet for recommendations for a good trainer.

My coton is almost 5 years old and for the past year she has had terrible brown eye staining. The vet says it is allergies but it never gets better even
