What food for my Coton de Tulear puppy?

by Glen

I am due to get my Coton puppy soon and I was sure I was going to feed it on Royal Canin dry food. However after reading some dog food reviews I was alarmed to find that Royal Canin gets mixed reviews. Apparently it contains chemical anti-oxidents BHA and BHT that can be very harmful. I am now considering using Burns food as it gets glowing reviews.

Puppy Food

Hi Glen, how exciting to be getting a Coton puppy. I think that choosing a good puppy food is one of the hardest decisions since the advice is so diverse and contradictory. Just like with people food, you'll never get 2 experts to agree on what the best diet is.

Usually the breeder will send your new puppy home with a good high quality food and it's recommended to keep your puppy on similar food and on a similar schedule until he/she gets older.

Everything I've read about Burns dog food looks great. The list of ingredients includes only real natural high quality ingredients without any preservatives, fillers or chemicals.

I feed my dog Luc mostly Organix, which is all organic and uses free range chicken as its number 1 ingredient. Like Burns, it doesn't have any preservatives or unhealthy chemicals. Plus, my dog loves it.

You can find more info on choosing dog food on this page.

Good luck and send us a photo when you get your new puppy.
