I love your story about Jake. He reminds me of the lovable goofy dog in the movie and book "Marley and Me" who was not the smartest dog but he made up for it in heart and lovability.

Jake may be smarter than you think - he's figured out how to escape, get his favorite snacks, and live with a family that loves him despite his imperfections.
