adjusting NEW

Luc is almost 14 and has lost quite a bit of his hearing. I find it remarkable how adaptable and resilient he is. I've also found hand signals to be helpful (sit, stay, come, etc). There have also been advantages of the hearing loss, as he no longer gets anxious during storms or fireworks. And he doesn't bark like crazy when the doorbell rings :)

Sounds like your dog is adapting well also, responding to hand commands. Be patient if your dog is more clingy than usual. It might take a while for him to adjust and feel safe, but he'll get there!
