A nickel sized soft fleshy lump that moves on the spine mid body that just showed up. She doesn't react when I touch it or move it around. She is 5.This just appeared out of the blue.

Lumps NEW
by: Margaret

If your Coton is getting lumps and they appear then disappear, then return you need to them biopsy, there is a possibility that it could be MAST cell cancer. Sometimes they appear as a soft lump under the skin.

Soft moveable lumps usually pilar cysts NEW
by: Anonymous

They are benign pilar or sebaceous type cysts. No worries unless a lump is growing, hard and immovable. Then check with vet.

Hi Neighbor NEW
by: Gale

Luc gets these lumps also. The Vet said they're pretty common especially for dogs with allergies like Luc. BUT, he periodically tests them to make sure they're benign and not an indicator of health issues. So I would DEFINITELY have your vet check her out.

P.S. - we're practically neighbors (I live in Stuart)
