My baby girl

I am in love with my baby girl! She’s so sweet and smart!! Trained in record time! I am also contending with mats and I am the only person that grooms her, I have read so much about the breed and I keep finding out that they don’t cut the hair off!! Their coats are so beautiful and white with a little length and bushy tail! She loves me to be her groomer too! Found an awesome way to do her nails ie.. soft grinder and I love it no worries about hurting her! I use Burts Bees shampoo and conditioner for puppies and is detangler never brush her when wet! And brush from back to front opposite direction and the matting has been better, if I do find one I just cut it out with baby scissors and she’s doing great!

 How to stop licking NEW

Are you wiping her with baby wipes? That was what was making my Bear lick constantly. I quit using them and only use a washcloth with water only to wipe him off and no more licking! Any of the wipes irritate him

Heidi is so cute & looks like she has personality plus! Do you know of any Coton groups in Austin area where we can expose Pippin to other Cotons? She’s very timid & gets scared easily because she cowers & lays low to ground when I approach to pick her up. I hope she wasn’t abused or hit. The previous owner couldn’t care for her anymore. She said she wasn’t home as much as before so she was kept in crate all day. That explains why she needs a bit of behavior modification. The licking, shredding anything paper, separation anxiety & needs 2 mi. walks daily to help with all her energy. She’s got soooo much love! We’ve had 2 Bichons previously & still have one that’s 16 yrs old. I want to learn everything you are willing to share with me about Cotons in general & anything about your experience with Heidi. I am looking forward to hearing from you! If anyone else can give me ideas on making Pipin’s adjustment to her new environment & her new family please reach out! I’m eager to learn! I also want to address her minor issues with bad behavior

Your dog is beautiful. Like you I do my own grooming. It’s great for bonding time, gaining trust and patience.
I keep a puppy cut for my Coton as I let him enjoy the other pets in my farm. He engages everyone. So sweet.
