Rhylie gives so much love! She is so affection. Always loves attention. Makes me laugh all the time with her crazy antics.

@ Barbara NEW
by: Pat

My Rhylie will go out for a walk and then come in and do her poop on the floor. I take her out frequently throughout the day, but for some reason there are times she just doesn't want to poop outside and will go inside within 5 minutes of coming back in. She never pees inside- so for that I am lucky! I have put pee pads down for her to use, hoping that she would poop on them and not the floor. She thinks it's a play toy and proceeds to chew on it and tear it into small pieces!

Rhylie reminds me of our Coton NEW
by: Michele

Rhylie is a cutie! Our Coton had a lot of black on his face when he was a puppy. His face is almost all white now with a little gray but he still has his black spots on his back and ears. Rhylie reminds me of our Coton when he was a puppy.

Two Cotons -lots of love; lots of piddling NEW
by: Barbara

I have two female Cotons (11 mo's and 9 mo's) old. Both went to socialization classes and are friendly dogs. They know "sit", "down" and "dance." But - I am having one heck of a time getting them house broken.
I use Wee-wee Pads. We have a fenced yard and a fenced patio. Some days they pee on the pads nicely, other days they let it go anywhere they please. Indoors they are confined to the mud room and kitchen wood floors with a baby gate. I thought they would be housebroken long before now and the gate removed. No such luck.
When I take them in the grassy yard, they play chase and get filthy with mud. It takes an hour to bathe, comb and dry the two. If I put them in the patio yard where there is concrete, they will play at length.....and then come in a pee! I have a plastic "play pen for dogs" in the patio yard where I set one inside and say "go pee". Usually they do. AND then they come inside and pee.
They are clueless about pee and poop in the grass yard:/ Last, I have a hurt back and can't consistently walk the dogs. The older dog learned to poop in the road. Problem is they get so dirty in the grass. What do Coton de Tulear owners usually do?
I'm up in years and this is a lot of work. Well worth it, but tough.
Advise appreciated!
