My aging Lucy

Thank you for the article about senior care. My little Lucy is 14 and starting to show problems with hearing (or she has become more selective) and eyesight. I installed a solar light on the 3 steps to my back door so at night she can see them. I tried steps for the couch but she wants no part of them. She now stands in front of me and barks to tell me to lift her up. She also hates it when I leave and will piddle on the floor to show her displeasure. At least she will go on the piddle pads. She never had separation anxiety before.

Aging stinks
by: BB Bellisari

Out BB is turning 14 this year. He didn’t like steps either to get up and would just do his little low growl until we picked him up. I finally found a step on Amazon that he liked. One night after multiple times of waking us up I ordered every different type of step. He liked the Pet Gear Stramp Stair and Ramp because he felt secure. It s wide and is just one step up. I have since bought a couple of more. Note. I have no affiliation with this product, I just wanted to sleep through the night. 😊

BB struggles with going up and down steps now and often has to be carried. My husband wants to install an elevator for him but that is a story for another day. We have come a long way from BBs stories when he was just a pup.

Good luck with Lucy.
