how often to feed my 8 month old Coton?

Dakota, my 8 month old female has been getting 3 meals a day. should I continue feeling her 3 x or reduce it to 2 x?

I would talk to my vet about how much they feel you should feed your puppy Dakota. I started my puppy off with "free feeding" from the first day I got her @ 2 months of age. I talked to my vet when I took her in for her first visit and told her I was free feeding her. My vet was all for it. That way my dog does not have to wait until a certain time to eat. She has her food available all day, but I noticed she eats a little early morning and a bigger portion in the evening. In total she eats about 1/3 to 1/2 cup per day depending on her activity and how hungry she is. She is a 7 lb. dog. I also give her about 3 mini bones per day as a treat, which my vet ok'd.
