How often must my Coton have to go out to urinate per day?

How often must my 1-1/2 year old go to urinate? Now she goes out 5-7 times a day, sometimes only for 2 seconds of urination. Is she "playing me", or does she need to go out every two hours?

urinating often NEW
by: sherry candie cotton

When home which is most of the time I take mine out about every three hours, sometimes they initiate it other times I just open the door and tell them to "go Pee". They are 5 and 7.

I always leave pee pads done when gone and on occasion they will use them although they wait around 8 hours thru the night.

Seems mine drank as much if not more water on cold days when they come in as they do when hot weather is here.

I never liked the idea of making them wait and hold it, cannot be good for their kidneys. For me pee pads are wonderful.

Potty time NEW

If she's always done this then she is fine. If all of a sudden she's peeing more & no more water is drinken have her checked.

Remember thou a change in weather such as warmer or a family move to diff. Environment can trigger more water consumption & that's normal.

Also as spring moves in our pets enjoy the fresh air as we. Maybe your pup is just enjoying the new smells & such that goes with spring.
