Keep watching him :) NEW
by: Anne

My Jules had this nasty habit. I got him in february in cold Quebec and at only 2.5 pounds didnt want to bring him outside to pee/poo at minus 35 celsius. So he used to do on pee pad and whenever i wasnt looking, eating it. Its stop wheni started going outside with him, and watching him poop, then giving him a treat right away, then cleaning poop. He no longer eat it since about 4-5 months old. Like he prefer treats and praise. ( I tried medical powder from vet to put in food and it didnt work. )
Good luck :)

Poop Resolve NEW

My neighbor had this problem with her Lab. and was told to feed some banana daily to her dog. Worked for her. Worth a try!! Good luck.

eating his own poop NEW
by: Julie

My coton is 11 months old and eats his own poo. It is nothing to do with diet, it is because the Mother used to do this to clean up after them so they copy. Some people say put pineapple in their food and then they will stop. I would just keep an eye out for when they do it and then distract them , or keep on a lead and pull away.

You should talk to your vet, if her diet is in order, only thing I can think of is she may have parasites.

Good Luck

There is something you can buy at your vets office that you sprinkle on the food and it will make the poop taste horrible to them. My mom had this issue with her dog and it stopped him.
