Ear hair

Does it hurt the dog to pull hair from the ears during grooming? My Coton has gotten ear infections from too much hair and I am wondeting if the groomer is doing this or maybe water is getting in despite her attempts to block this from happening. I have spent a small fortune on this issue.

We had exactly the same issue with Daisy, our ten year old Coton. We believe that it was the plucking of her ear hairs that was causing the issue. In reality, it was the groomers that brought it to our attention. We had to get rid of the last infection with the vets help, this was followed by the groomers stopping the plucking - no.infections since (thank goodness)
