I also use my own blow dryer on low & it works just fine. When I got Jonah 6 yrs ago I went to the Coton UK site which gave grooming tips.
They recommended that after bath b4 dry, comb out coat while wet to make it easier. I have done this for yrs & it is very true. It does usually take 1-2 hrs depending on coat length & I am now pretty good at it but did not start out that way bc I did not want to pull his hair.
By the time I get him combed out the use of a dryer takes maybe 5 mins since their coat is almost dry.
I use it mostly for fluff but do make sure around his ears & Face is dry since his coat seems to take longer to dry their so he does not catch cold.
