Dog DNA Test

We recently brought a small dog into our family from a woman who traveled a lot and felt she was making her dog'S life miserable. He was supposed to be a "Morkie," a designer dog of Manchester and Yorkshire terrier blood. NO WAY!


Our adorable spunky little guy weighs 16 pounds and is very sturdy. He looks very much like a Madagascar Cotton and behaves exactly like one. He has a flowing, wavy coat of soft hair. So, I have sent his DNA sample off to be analyzed and expect a response from the lab in a couple of weeks.

What experience do Coton lovers reading this have with the DNA testers? Can We give them our confidence or is it all smoke and mirrors?

That would be very interesting, I'm not sure what mixture the Coton might be, but my Vets tech seems to see a terrier in my Coton.
