do they have a prob chewing?

by Juanita O'Shea
(Yuma, AZ. SA)

1 yr, 1 mo Female white and some beige, and some little black. We got Angel at 5 mo., she loves paper (TP house, documents, and anything close to ground. Chewed up strap and buckle, to her carrier, halters, collars , leashes as she is wering them etc. So worried about what might get caught up in stomach, colon. Everyone says she is just a baby. She plays with toys without tearing them up.

Does anyone have this problem? Any suggestions Thanks Juanita

Know anyone in AZ that has a coton?

My paper shredder NEW
by: Anonymous

My Tamara loves to shred paper, tissues, toilet paper rolls etc. She does not eat them. I believe it entertains her. It is aggravating when she shreds needed paper so I make sure theres no paper within her reach.

Chewing NEW
by: John from Texas

Our four month old male had bright red in his poop. It scared us to death fearing something really bad was wrong. It turns out it was red fabric from one of his cloth toys. His chew toys are now tougher than this toy was. We should have known that if it comes out the bottom end, it must have come in the top end! LOL

Mine Too! NEW

Jazz is 1 1/2 and she loves to shred up napkins, paper towels, etc. is left where she can find them. Must be a Coton thing, but I would rather pickup the occasional scraps of paper than have her chew up furniture, etc.

chewing NEW
by: Janice

My Cotton is 7 years old and he has alway loved to chew. Usually it's his toys or any type of paper, especially napkins and tissues. I can't leave a wastebasket in his reach because he'll pull everything out. Every now and then he'll chew on one of his blankets or toys and swallow some of the material. Usually, I'm not aware of it until he throws the material up. We have to watch him when he plays. I buy chew sticks and milk bones for him and this has helped a lot. Thank goodness, he doesn't mess with our things or our furniture. He is such a cute and funny little fellow and we love him dearly!

CHEWING NEW
by: sherry candie cotton

I had to laugh about the chewing of TP as that was always a fun thing for mine to do as well. Its just something they like to do and Cotton is almost 8 and just last week I left a napkin lay on the end table and she had a great time shredding it so cannot tell you it will end soon. LOL

She also like shredding the magazines I leave for her on the couch when I'm gone. Its something I have always done once they are read, just need to be diligent in keeping books put out of reach.

Tissue boxes are also fun--loves to pull them out one by one. She never eats them so don't know why she likes doing this. Does your girl like pulling tissues??

Cotton also will chew leashes in half so when traveling I have to be sure its not in her reach. She has never destroyed furniture or anything of value so I'm lucky in that. Just something about paper that calls to her.

They are sure the best loving breed ever and good luck with Angel.
