Thank you for giving me a home Mummy!

Thank you for giving me a home Mummy!

Phoebe Scarlet Princess of Madagasgar Josefik-Lilienthal, II was captured by dog catchers on January 19, 2010 wondering in an Industrial field. On that same day we lost our precious Piper of 10 years not knowing that our future dog would be Phoebe Scarlet. Phoebe was sent to a high kill shelter in Fresno,CA due to her agressive behaviors. The shelter called a rescue group to come check Phoebe out before she was put down. After spending a few minutes with Phoebe, the rescue agency diagnosed Phoebe as being scared and abused physically. She was rescued by Debbie Hansen (Foster Mom), Fresno CA. Phoebe was only with Debbie for a few days, before we saw Phoebe online for adoption. It has been 2 years since adopting Phoebe and daily we feel blessed to have her in our lives! She now has a little sister Lili Prudence (Maltese rescue)who has been a wonderful asset to Phoebe's mental health!!!

Princess Phoebe
by: Vicky & Jonah (Az)

She looks like a treasure. Good luck to u. It is a wonderful opening of the heart that u have done. Jonah loves to carry around my stinky socks yet never chews them. He always brings them in front of me so I can see he has them & then starts to run away like a game of chase. Funny thing is thou I have never chased him for them. If I want them back I grab a treat & say bring & he trades me. Aren't dogs funny. :-)

That's our Phoebe!
by: Aunt Ricki

Phoebe Scarlett is a joy!!! Poor lamb has had some rough times in the past. But she is sooo lucky that Lisa and Sonja adopted her and have loved, nurtured, trained and spoiled her. All of us do!!! She loves treats and SHOES! Schleps shoes all over the place, but doesn't destroy them. David and I have been so blessed to have her in our lives. She LOVES coming to Ricki's...probably because there are treats!
She's still working on intimacy and affection. Always overjoyed when she lets me rub her or when she snuggles with me. Oh... and she likes my popcorn! But when she trusts someone - it's magic!
She's not wild about men, but really likes Dave.
She's one of our schnuggy-doodles!! Aunt Ricki

Princess Phoebe Scarlett
by: Anne

Molly, our Coton, and I are happy that you and the Princess found each other. A wonderful story.

We rescued our Molly. She too was found abandonded and was sent from a high kill shelter to a no kill shelter - I'm sure because she is a sweet dog. 5 weeks ago, we got her a playmate named Sandy who is a Maltese (another rescue). After a rough week or so, they are now friends and enjoy each other's company.

Your story is priceless and we hope you enjoy many happy years together. Coton's are by nature a loving, sweet and happy dog. Now, our little Maltese is a little devil.

Little dog with a big name
by: Anonymous

Phoebe Scarlet is a lucky little Coton. It's hard to fathom how someone could abuse such a small and helpless creature, but thank goodness for people like you who are willing to open your home and heart to a dog in need.
