Hi everyone

I’m want to ask you all if you’re coton by any chance suffers of weirds moves back and for which last for few seconds and this is all Day long. Mila is doing this since day one at home when she was 8 weeks old. Sometimes the moves are different intensity every time. Sometimes just mild and sometimes harder.

I’m worry thinking if could be a neurological problem. I talked to the breeder and said never faced this situation with none of the puppies or parents. NEED HELP PLEASE

Also had head movements NEW
by: Anonymous

our Coton did something like this for a period of time as a pup. even while playing, she would suddenly stop and raise her head back and forth several times in a short motion.
(up and down not side to side)

She has since grown out of this behavior and we have not seen it in months. (she is almost 1 year old)

Mine does that too NEW
by: Anonymous

My coton puppy who is 7 months old does something similar only not with her head but with her entire body. She backs up at the strangest times, but she usually does it when it's time to put on her harness and leash. It's like she wants it but is a little freaked out about it so she backs away, until she finally gives up and lets me put it on her. I understand the move that you're describing because I see it as well, only I never really thought much about it being anything serious, just a little weird.

This sounds like something only a veterinarian can diagnose. Might be nothing, could be neurological but harmless. Put your mind at ease and take Mila to a vet. She is precious. Good luck.

Have not seen this NEW
by: Anonymous

Hello,

She sure is a sweetheart. So sorry to hear about this. I have not seen this problem in my 3 Cotons. I am wondering if this problem began when you brought her into your home - or - if the breeder had observed this earlier. Could it be an allergy or some kind of immune reaction to a product that you are using or something that you have in your home? Also, check into her food. Perhaps, that could be affecting her as well as any vaccines she may have received.

I personally am being very cautious with vaccinations and trying to stick only with those that are absolutely necessary.

If I were in your shoes, I would ask for a thorough evaluation by a vet or a referral to a specialist. It could be something simple that can be easily rectified.

Best,
Susan
