What a wonderful story. My grandmother used to tell me that everything happens for a reason and I believe that to be true. You were meant to walk into that shelter to adopt Beemer just as I was meant to find my Chloe right before I was diagnosed with breast cancer. This breed captures the heart strings of their owners and you can never ever let go. Beemer you and Oliver are so special. Happy Birthday Beemer you are a treasure.

I too have tears, what a touching story and you two little dogs are amazing. So is your mommy for rescuing you from the shelter.

I cannot understand the thinking of some people. I hope they never get another dog. You are just adorable in your outfit and we wish you, Oliver and mom many happy more years together.

I read this and cried! What a beautiful story!! Happy you are doing well after your accident. I am also glad that you happened into that shelter when you did, how can anyone want to put down any dog let alone this breed. They say when you have a dog and children you always watch to make sure they get along. I can't believe that family wanted to just toss out the dog!!!

Boy nothing like tears in ur eyes in the morn. I swear the older I get the harder it is for me to read a sad story even knowing it would turn out ok because I cheated to look ahead.

Your story brings tears to my eyes and tugs my heart. It's perfect example of love. Your love saved Beemer and Beemer's saved you. It also shows that sometimes life just works out the way it's meant to.. very glad you were first one to see Beemer at shelter.

What a touching story, my gosh! Happy Birthday Beemer - it pleases me so much to hear the age - 13!!!! I wish I could stop time with my little guy because the older he gets, the less time I have with him.
