I DON'T HAVE A COTON YET...THEY ARE SO EXPENSIVE, I AM HOPEING TO RESCUE ONE OR MAYBE ADOPT ONE WHO NEEDS A LOVING FAMILY TO BE ITS NEW FAMILY....I LIVE IN PORT RICHEY FLORIDA...IF ANYONE KNOWS OF A COTON WHO NEEDS MY LOVE, I WENT ON A CRUISE AND THE ENTERTAINMENT WAS A MAGICIAN WITH A COTON AS HIS SIDEKICK...WHAT A DOG..."JEFF AND iNDY" GREAT SHOW AND I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE COTON...PLEASE HELP ME FIND MY COTON,E-MAIL ME

I TOOK ALL THE ADVISE I RECIEVED, I E-MAILED ALL THE BREEDERS AND RESCUES IN MY AREA...I EVEN TRIED THE MALTESE RESCUES AND BREEDERS...NO LUCK...NOW I GOT AN E-MAIL FOR 2 MALTESE PUPPIES 12 WEEKS OLD. I COULD HAVE ONE ORE BOTH...I'M NOT SURE IF THIS IS ON THE LEVEL...MY NEW YORK INSTINT TELLS ME IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT USUALLY IS...WHAT DO YOU THIN AND HAS ANYONE HEARS OF JOUSEF AMADU...?

here is one web site i found in florida for coton de tulear. You might want to check it out. It doesnt say how much but never hurts to ask. We got our little one at at super good buy. Turns out there was a typo in the add..and i was fortunate enough that the lady let me have her at that price before she has the mistake fixed! yay. This is my first dog and im totally hooked on Coton. I've never even been fan of dogs and im totally sold. She's my pal and we take her just about everywhere :) Hope you get yours soon!

Don't give up - they are out there. I received my original Coton Jacques over 15 years ago - he was a gift from my boss and his wife. When he passed away I was devastated. I tried to find another, but I just could not justify spending so much $$ at the time, so I ended up rescuing a Peek - her name was China and she was such a wonderful little girl. I lost her last year. Unable to have a home without a furry friend, I checked out our local shelter and saw a dog I wanted. Off I went. As I was waiting, the man in front of me adopted the dog I had come to see! I was ready to leave when the front desk clerk asked me if I would just look at a dog they thought was a Maltese but weren't sure. I said OK and out came Brea (she is now named BeBe) and she was a Coton!! Only 11 months old and a doll - I immediately took her to my vet and he confirmed what I already knew. She is the love of my life. I feel she was a little gift from my girl China who was my "Coton substitute", until the right one came along.

JEFF AND INDY WERE ON OUR CRUISE ON THE HOLLAND AMERICA LINE...THEIR SHOW WAS GREAT...AND INDY WAS A GREAT HOST JEFF ALLOWED ME TO HAVE A PICTURE TAKEN WITH INDY AND HE WAS APERFECT GENTLEMAN, I FELL IN LOVE RIGHT THERE...I WILL KEEP LOOKING FOR MY COTON...THANKS FOR SHARING

Jeff and Indie have been on the show "dogs 101" almost 2 yrs ago now on animal planet. They did a segment showing them working on a cruise ship and about the Coton and how they love water. What a lucky break that u got to see them in person.

try contacting some of the local breeders, as they try to find good homes for Cotons whose families can't take care of them anymore, or because of a death, etc. They are very loyal to the breed and do all possible to keep these wonderful furbabies out of shelters, etc.
