How to Maintain my Coton De Tulear away from Cotton Balls?

I have a fluffy and healthy CDT, however maintaining his hair is quiet challenging. Cotton balls usually pop out after his shower session, eventhough I brush him up before he gets wet.

Please can someone advise the best remedy. Thanks ahead guys!

All the suggestions of product & grooming r exactly right. They r very good products. But even w/all that they will still get Coton Balls maybe not as many as u have w/your grooming schedule now but that is just the Coat.

Your Coton is very lovely I like how flat his hair seems to lie. Your doing a great job w/ coat.

I also use cowboy magic and a detangle spray & brush him every day. I also bought him a rolled leather collar which made a big difference. I was wondering how you keep his eye area so white! Pierre gets tear stains but I try to keep them under control & clean his eyes in the morning and evening. I just bought some eye envy to try.

I found "Cowboy Magic De-tangler" and it is fantastic!!! I purchased it at my local Feed and Tack" store. It was developed for horses but, when I read a review on amazon from a mom who uses it for her daughters hair after swim class I gave it a try. I use it between baths also because his harness causes an occasional mat. When I brush them they come out easily. He is soft and silky and we are both happy without the matting.

It is a clear liquid gel in a tube. You can find it on Amazon and read the reviews there too.
