Tails NEW
by: ken

No, No, No, No. Please do not consider docking a Coton's tail. They are an integral part of their lovely character and looks stylish the way they curl over their rear quarter. They are also used like a rudder when swimming!

tail docking NEW

No. In UK where they show Cotons they dock few tails on any breed. Considered inhumane.

Charlie

My coton, Charlie, was born with a bobbed tail. My husband was going to buy Charlie's bother, but ChaCha rolled over on his back and asked for a tummy rub. That's all it took. We think he is the cutest, most precious pup ever!!!

Beautiful tails
by: Sydney's Mom

Anita's comments are a bit harsh as gromming is a very individual issue and some coton's fur is harder to keep untangled than others. I agree about their tails and think they look wonderful and can't imagine my dog looking right without it.

No!

I have never seen a Coton with its tail docked and I hope I never either! It's bad enough that people get this beautiful creatures and practically shave them down to nothing. Get another breed of dog, if you are not prepared for what comes with this wonderful dog.
