Do you need cat and dog health insurance? It's estimated that every 6 seconds a pet owner is faced with a $1000 Vet bill. Unexpected emergencies can be stressful emotionally and financially.

Here's my story:

My beloved Yorkie (long gone, but not forgotten) had a medical file a mile long. He had several knee surgeries, chronic ear troubles, pancreatitis, and on and on. Pet insurance made sense and it saved me hundreds if not thousands of dollars over the course of his life.

Years later when I got my new Coton de Tulear puppy, Lucy, I didn’t think of insurance since she was so young and vibrant. 

But at 11 months old, she had her first seizure. In addition to the worry and heartache of learning my puppy had liver disease and epilepsy, the financial impact was life-changing.

I learned the hard way how important pet insurance is. It’s hard enough dealing with your dog’s health challenges, so wouldn’t it be nice if you didn’t have the extra worry of high vet bills?

All pet owners should research cat and dog health insurance. There are so many options and so many different kinds of coverage that you’re sure to find the right plan for your pet at the right budget. The key is to be prepared so when you’re faced with those tough decisions you can do what’s best for your pet without worrying about breaking the bank.
