Zoey

In 2006, while at my daughter's gymnastics class, woman walked into the gym holding a white dog. She announced to the parents that the dog had been left at the police station and needed a home. I immediately jumped and said, "I'll take her!" withiut even a thought. From the moment I put her in my lap, we were inseparable. I can't explain to others the bond that we immediately had, but it was instant.
I had 2 male dogs at home, brothers who we had bought at a pet place. It wasn't a store, not a breeder. They had a bunch of puppies and we got the 2 muts. Zoey immediately took on a mom role (even though she was only 6 mos old and the boys were a year old.).
Well, since bringing Zoey home, we began rescuing more dogs. We have had up to 9 at any given time and have been fosters. We give up a lot to have them in our homes, but it it so rewarding. Zoey has welcomed every dog into our home and has never had a behavioral problem. I call her "The Perfect Dog"! :)
She is now 11. She is the love of my life. She rescued me!
