Ours was too when a puppy. But she out grew it. I found the local driving with many turns was the worst. Once we got on a straight highway it was better.

I have kept mine in a crate from day 1 It has a pillow a couple of toys. Within 5 min he is sound asleep. No matter if it's a 10 min ride or 90 min. He is sound asleep. Try it. Keep his toys in there to comfort him. Also I know if there is an accident, he's safe

Luc would get car sick when he was a puppy. Here are some things that helped:

-Make the car a happy experience. I think the reason Luc got car sick was he got anxious. All the noises and cars whizzing by scared him. So to get him to see the car as a calm and happy place, I'd sit him in the car a few times a day just for a short time without actually moving. He'd get lots of hugs and maybe even a treat. Then after awhile I'd start with just a drive around the block and then maybe a 5 minute drive, increasing the time as he grew more comfortable.

-I wouldn't feed him before a car trip

-I left the window open a little bit so he'd get fresh air

-I put on some music to drown out the traffic noises that seemed to frighten him.

The good news is that most dogs outgrow this and actually look forward to car trips. I'm not sure why Luc loves the car so much since most of the time he's going to places he doesn't want to be - like the vet's office. :)
