Coton Connection, Issue #074 - What you need to know as your Coton gets older
October 17, 2017
Welcome Coton Lovers:

When is your Coton considered a senior citizen?

Luc turned 12 years old on October 5. My heart breaks a little as I see the signs of aging. He's slowing down, can't move as fast, and he sleeps A LOT! But, he's still my little clown who is pure love and mischief. There isn't anything I wouldn't do for him, and that means making sure that he's as happy and healthy as possible in his senior years.

Is your dog a senior? Most experts say that small dogs like the Coton are considered seniors when they reach 7 years old. If your dog is 7 or older, or approaching this milestone, what can you do to ensure the highest quality of life possible for him or her? Learn the basics of caring for your older dog here.
