Wee Wee time for Triscuit

I just wondered if anyone else with a female Coton urinates like Triscuit. She squats and lifts one back leg up like a bunny... she has always done it that way and it is quite cute.

Just wondered.....Kathy

tooo cute, what i find funny with my little duchess is when its time to do number 2. she is running around like crazy and then stops, hits h and backs up. and goes. (it looks like if she hit the reverse button ) she always does that never fails. too funny.

Yes...

...our young male rescue now ?16 mos (according to vet), did the same thing ALL the time until just recently when he's now lifting his leg (with the assistance of the adjacent object whenever possible). He's too cute, so glad he's ours.

Love reading others' stories as we were not familiar with this wonderful breed until we adopted him. We're so thankful.

My little Paris does the same thing. It's quite cute. She is a mostly black with white Coton, and unique in many ways. She is also very small for the breed, at only a little over eight pounds and just about to turn one year old. She has been doing the leg lift all along. She tries to do everything my male doberman does, so I thought she was imitating him. Even though he is huge in comparison, they love each other like crazy!

Wee Wee Time for the Female Coton
by: Chris

Our female Lilly Belle does exactly the same. Our son thinks this is funny ~ like a male dog; however , my husband said that since these dogs have such long fur , they lift their leg to keep it from getting wet/soiled. I like this explanation ~ seems practical. (:

Yes! Our Stella has always "gone" that way . She will also prop her leg against a sign post to assist in the lift!
