Loss of hair NEW
by: Tallie

Our Coton, Maggie, started to shed between 7-9 months old. She also started matting very badly despite brushing her with a detangle spray 2-3 times a day. The groomer shaved her down completely because of the under hair growing and matting. It's been good for the summer, but I feel like the texture is more coarse. If your dogs hair is coming out in clumps, you may want to take her to the vet. She could have allergies or thyroid issues. Maybe give her biotin powder in her food to see if that helps!

Hair Loss NEW
by: Sharon and Jasmine

Jasmine started itching and scratching so much her hair was coming out. I took her to the vet and she has allergies. With meds she no longer itches and her hair is fine. But on her belly some of the hair did not all grow back. I would take your pup
to the vet.

Dog hair NEW
by: Iris

The Coton de Tulear does not have fur and rarely koses any hair. The hairbis like cotton abd gets easily matteed. My dig hadvto be shaved diwn aroubd 7 months when his silkt hair vegan to chang and the under coat matted beyond control. After being shaved his hairthat had been mult color grew back all white and the texture was fluffy and wavy abdvrequires careful grooming and trimming to avoid matting.

I think if your dog is losing hair she may have a health issue, such as allery to flea bite saliva, or any other environmental or food allergy or illness. I would have the Veterinarian check her out to eliminate any of these possibilities,
