need help for overfriendly 2 year old male coton

My male dog Tucker is very very hyper. He is always running up to people, jumping on the and wanting to lick them to death. He also runs after ANYTHING that moves trying to catch it. I kid you not. Right now is fall here in Canada, and he chases all the leaves. You can imagine what that is like. Really need help here. Any suggestions?

Go to Zak George/YouTube.come or go to his Facebook page & he has free videos in sequence to train. Positive training method.

If u don't like using videos to help u join your local obedience club or agility. A dog that is exercised or active learning is a happy dog.

Sorry to hear your problem, I have the exact opposite. The only thing I could suggest is keep him on a lead and when he goes to jump up, gentler tug and say no in a firn voice. Keep doing this until he gets the idea it's wrong. I have found cotons are very quick to learn. Praise him and give him a treat when he does as he is told. Always stick to this routine until you are satisfied he is doing what you want.
It's always worked for me.
