My Coton de Tulear pulls on her leash

Thanks for this wonderful site about the Coton de Tulear. My Coton is 9 months old and she's very smart and has learned obedience training very quickly. The only thing I'm having trouble with is getting her to stop pulling on her leash when we go for a walk. She pulls so hard that she makes herself choke.

This sounds so familiar. I think all of us have had to deal with this at some point with a puppy. Check out this leash pulling page for tips on how to deal with leash pulling. Just like any other training, patience and consistency is the key. Good luck
