Is it normal for Cotons to shed?

Hi! I have an 8 month old Coton. She has been shedding a lot. I find her hair on everything. When I brush her, I'm covered in hair. I have an appointment with the vet on Friday, however, not many are familiar with the Coton. Is it normal for them to shed a lot when they're going through the coat change?

It is called "blowing out puppy hairs". Make to use a stainless comb and make sure not to brush when the hair is dry. When you use a hair product called " detangler" to wet the hairs, it will not damage the hair while brushing. Good luck.

I thought the same thing when this happened to mine. I was told he changing from puppy hair to adult hair. It will eventually stop
