Hair around the eyes

Do we have to cut the hair around our dog's eyes? Our Capi has very long hair and it covers his eyes. It looks like he can't see properly.

Use thinning scissors and trim away around the eyes, the cut will look more natural than if you use regular ones.

all of them have some hair trimmed around and above the eyes. so sweet.

My Pierre has long hair all over but I have the hair above his eyes clipped enough so he can see. He has such beautiful big eyes and I like to see his expressions. He talks with his eyes.
That being said....He was bumping into things with the hair covering his eyes and he seemed to frustrated on a daily basis. It was to hard for him to function. His lashes are very long. That protects his eyes.
