I'd love to hear from others about this. I know from my experience, I have a full time job and haven't had any issues leaving Luc home alone. He's never had issues with separation anxiety and house training hasn't been an issue while I'm gone. I take hime out before I go to work and then leave newspaper on the floor in the bathroom (his room). He learned to use the paper right away. Once in a while if I have to stay late at work I will have a friend or neighbor stop by and make sure he's okay. I also have a cat that he is best friends with so he has company while I'm gone. If you don't have another pet, it's a good idea to leave lots of toys to keep him occupied. Really, most dogs just sleep all day so unless you work really long hours it should be ok. I feel it's the quality of the time we spend with our animals that matters more than the quantity. Good luck and send in a photo when you get your puppy.
