Cotton always wins at tug-of-war

Just wanted to share some pics of Cotton with one of her favorite toys. She never paid any attention to her set of rings - until I tied this old sock around it. It has become her treasure and as you can see in the picture, even when she falls asleep, she is guarding it from new rescue dog "Candie".

She is just a real treasure and I know we all think our dogs are special but she is just such a loving good member of our family and we are so proud of the way she is helping Candie to adjust.

JUST WANTED TO BRAG ABOUT HER, SHE MAKES EACH DAY SO SPECIAL!

 Sock toys

I use furry old socks as treat bags. I drop a few crumbs of Tuffy's favorite treats in the bottom of the sock, then wind it up around my hand and pull the top of the sock over it. I toss it to Tuffy,, he catches it and smells the treats. From then on he has a small challenge to untie the sock and get his nose all the way in to the bottom and get the treats. This is a lot of fun for both of us. Sometimes I tie the sock in a loose knot, but he got too good at figuring out how to untie it. That's a Coton for you, SMART!.

My Della does the same thing we've found tying old shoe laces to toys make any toy a tug toy and old forgotten toys get a new life. Also Della has learned to steal socks off of my guests feet I do not like this habbit but my fiance' encourages it!

Sherry, posts like this are one of the reasons I started this site. Sometimes you just have to brag about your dog to others who will understand :)

What a clever idea to attach the sock on her toy. I think I'll try that for the dozens of toys Luc ignores in his "toybox".
