Coton de Tulear, Kevin

by Michael Bayot
(Quezon City, Philippines)

Kevin's first visit to vet

Kevin's first visit to vet

Kevin's first visit to vet riding with me Kevin's puppy eyes. Kevin invading my bed!

I am from the Philippines and I am a lucky owner of this rare Coton de Tulear dog. My Kevin loves to run around the house, eats his treats on his bed, sleeps under the sofa chair while his four legs are spread.

At 4 months old, he enjoys rough playing already like pulling the bath towel, wrestling, etc. So far, my sister and mother love him so much since he was the first dog in the family.

My only problem is that I cannot find another Coton de Tulear owner here in the Philippines. I wish I could find one so that my Kevin can play with his own family and hopefully, spread his genes to eventually increase the population of Cotons here in the Philippines. If you know someone who owns a Coton here, please let me know!

Female cotons
by: rsl

Hi carlo. I'll give you a ring some time tomorrow. I spoke to my sister and she's fine about putting her male coton out to stud. He has papers and complete with vaccinations. Regarding arrangement for breeding the dogs, we can speak about that over the phone. Thanks.

cotons
by: rsl

I have a coton de tulear as well. Female and 2 years old. My sister has a male coton the same age. Since they're siblings, I'd rather not have them breed. I haven't decided whether I should have my coton bred or not. But if I do or if anyone else decides to, it must be done responsibly.

This is the second one time I've raised a coton. First one I had I bought when I was in the US. Personally, the best breed and I've raised different other breeds before my coton.

Want to buy Coton de Tulear
by: Victoria

Hi Kevin
I live in the Philippines and looking to buy a male Coton de Tulear. I notice you posted this note last year. Do you by this time know of breeder that I can contact? I also worry about the dog's adaptability to a hot climate. Can I cut its hair short, and perhaps give it a daily bath? Thanks.

Hello fellow Coton human
by: Geraldine

Hi Kevin. I also have a Coton. Her name is Brie, female, DOB is Oct 7, 2010, which makes her around one and a half years old. I also got her from a breeder so she's certified and all. I don't know if she's ready for breeding and honestly, I haven't decided if I want her too. I might need some convincing. Please email me and we can discuss this further. My email add is gerbie_francisco@yahoo.com

Kevin looks like a sweet dog. Of course he is, he is a Coton de Tulear! Where did you get him? Maybe whoever you got him from has ideas of where others are in your area? Good luck with your adorable puppy!
