Bored? anxious? sad? why does my coton de tulear vomit?

by judith
(Austin,Tx)

look where?

look where?

look where? After my self taught grooming,,Looks Good brush on, two three. Brush on two....

My little coton de tulear sometimes vomits. When he is not interested in his food, does not eat, He vomits a yellow foamy liquid. He checks out as healthy, no pests of any sort. This does not happen each day, it's a sometime thing, Yep, I worry.

vomiting

My four-year-old Coton, Oliver has had digestive problems in the past. Part of this was the vomiting of yellow foam, It is true that it is usually because of an empty stomach. My Vet told me to give him 1/2 of a Pepcid AC (10 mg). That makes him feel so much better and his appetite comes right back.
We also determined through trial and error that he has allergies to all grains. He is now on Veggies, Protein (chicken, eggs,) and fruit and is thriving. Good Luck with your little one.

Hungry Coton?
by: Gale

According to the Coton de Tulear Club of America book, "puppies are especially prone to getting an upset stomach if they have gone too long betwen food. They may then vomit a yellow fluid - stomach acid."

They go on to say that feeding your puppy as soon as possible will solve this problem. Eating grass or other foreign objects is another common reason young dogs vomit.

Sounds like your dog may be a finicky eater. Our latest ezine article provided a list of suggestions from many of our visitors with similar concerns. If you missed the article, just contact me through the Contact Us Button on the left with your email address and I'd be happy to send you a copy.

The same thing happens to my dog from time to time and he actually did it twice yesterday. I don't worry about it because he bounces right back. I just assume he has eatten something in the yard that does not agree with him.
