Pet store puppies
It's better to pass up that puppy in the window

Pet store puppies are convenient and they are so darn cute, BUT……

Until recently, many of us were unaware of the deplorable conditions that these puppies come from. I must admit, I was pretty ignorant about the conditions myself until the last few years when the puppy mill situation became more widely known through the media.

But, as they say, when you know better, you do better. Please check out this info on puppy mills which is where almost all pet store dogs come from.

Believe me, you’ll agree that this is a heart breaking situation and we have to do our parts to end this abuse. As long as there’s a demand, these puppy mills will keep abusing these animals.

Even when the pet store owners can provide papers and say they can guarantee that the puppies come from reputable breeders it cannot be true since reputable breeders would NEVER sell their puppies to a pet store.

Dogs that come from puppy mills often have medical problems and can cost you hundreds or even thousands of dollars in medical bills. Sadly, many people end up abandoning or neglecting these animals because they cannot afford to care for them.

While things are getting better and some states have enacted laws to protect pet store animals, the change is coming slowly and it's up to us to ensure that we don't encourage these unacceptable conditions by buying pets from these stores.

So, if you're looking to find Coton de Tulear puppies, make sure you do your research and find a reputable breeder.
